This fabulous mid century modern built in 1965 was designed by the well known Houston architecture firm Wilson, Morris, Crain and Anderson, who designed the world famous Astrodome. When purchased in 2008, the home was updated and remodeled, using the integrity of the solid structure and opening the interior spaces to the natural beauty of the wooded acreage of the Trinity River bluff and beyond. Spectacular views and sunsets are possibly the best of any residential home in Fort Worth, thanks to the talented professionals who worked together to create this museum quality home.The Architect Ralph Duesing from Dallas, well known Fort Worth designer, Joe Minton and his associate Paula Lowes, and the very high end and perfectionist builder, Brad Deering, who with the input from the owners transformed the home into a showplace.The floor to ceiling large windows, dark ebony hardwood floors, tall lacquered black double doors, all accented by white walls and subtle white linen curtains create a majestic feeling of space and sleek sophistication.
The rear of the property was repurposed to become a usable and most attractive entertaining area, raising the elevation to provide three separate entertaining spaces with a lifetime epi wood deck.This was a major construction project. The steel piers had to be set into concrete and cantilevered over the sloping terrain. Both upstairs patios have spectacular views, one off the kitchen/breakfast room, the other accessed through the library and master bedroom to sitting areas and an elegant pool and hot tub. The center deck is accessed through the downstairs rooms, both bedrooms and the den, where one can enjoy the peaceful wooded setting, and stairways lead to both upstairs decks.

The kitchen was remodeled into a light and modern space with a skylight over the center island, large window above the sink with wooded views, access to patio through tall glass door, and a delightful banquet for comfortable family meals which was built into a wall with seeded glass windows.

The front door was replaced with tall double doors, seeded glass panes imported from Germany, and the entry hall has black terracotta tile floors.
